Chassagne Montrachet's vineyard extends over a surface of 350 hectares, of among which:
           -Grands Crus                                     :   10 ha
           -Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru      : 160 ha
           -Chassagne Montrachet Village      : 180 ha
   White wines stemming from the Chardonnay vine represent about 60 % of the production. The rest is planted in vine Pinot Noir. On Pitiot and Poupon's card, you can discern 3 different colours which correspond to the 3 levels of AOC existing in Chassagne Montrachet. "Grand Crus" produce only White wines. The 2 other levels can produce White wines and Red wines. Red and white AOC Burgundy is not coloured.
