  3 grapes for :

Fabienne, Thibault et Michel Morey

- Les Farendes   1er Cru Blanc 1999 :
"Gilded robe, which announces a beautiful concentration. The smell confirms this, with powerful notes of yellow fruits, a muscat-like touch and the vanilla-like/grilled brought by the barrel. Tasting : richness, maturity, length fineness. Superb ! "

- Chassagne Blanc 1999 :
"The domain owns beautiful vineyards as regards Chassagne Montrachet Village and the result is there, in this rich, unctuous, long, well-balanced wine, with a generous fruity taste, which would not make uncomplete in a series of 1ers Crus."

  2 grapes for :

- La Romanée   1er Cru Blanc :
"Here is one of the best soils of the municipality in very good hands. The result is a very fine and intense wine, rich and fresh, harmonious, endowed with an evident potential of ageing. Close to the third cluster... "

- Les Caillerets   1er Cru Blanc
- Morgeot  1er Cru Rouge

Chassagne Mt Blanc 1er Cru "En Remilly" 2000 : ("Do not miss")

"Golden robe, fine menthol nose, with freshness and style. Superb palate, very elegant, with a great finesse substance and a wonderful length. A racy wine, fresh and with a great balance."

LA REVUE DU VIN DE FRANCE   (Vintage 2000)

"We have loved a lot" :

Domaine
Michel MOREY-COFFINET
Les Caillerets

" The smell offers a big floral complexity and the palate is in tune with richness and distinction to give a very pleasant wine which is resilient spring. La Romanée is in the same rich and opulent style. En Remilly offers a good complexity with roasted aromas which are the common denominator of the three vintages. "

  GUIDE HACHETTE
"Coup de coeur" for the Chassagne Montrachet Rouge 1996

" This "coup de coeur" distinguishes a very typical Chassagne (fleshy, well-constituted) in its dense and brilliant robe. Fine intensity of red fruits and discrete touch of vanilla. The potential of ageing seems to be important. As regards the Whites , you can fully trust a  Romanée Premier Cru 96 and Caillerets 96 which have both obtained 2 stars from the selection comitee. A nice success for this Domaine "

THE GREAT DOMAINES OF BURGUNDY ( de Remington Norman )

"Although red Chassagne is generally regarded with indifference by the connoisseur press,  Michel Morey's are among the best in the village and well worth looking out for. In style, soft and supple with plenty of ripe fruit, they exude Pinot purity and have the structure to age well over 5 or so years.
The white Chassagnes are top-class, from a soft, fleshy Village wine to a mid-weight, elegant Caillerets, with distinct mineral undertones, and a fine, broad and powerful La Romanée.
A conscientious winemaker and a fine source of Chassagnes of both colours."

  BOURGOGNE AUJOURD'HUI

  3 grapes for :

- Morgeot  1er Cru Rouge :
"Fine and fresh nose of ripe fruits , enhanced by a discrete woody touch , with a fully texture , rich and pure . Wonderful ! "

  2 grapes for :

Fabienne, Thibault and Michel Morey

- Les Farendes   1er Cru Blanc :
"Nice and intense nose of citrus, fresh butter , "highly seasoned" by an elegant  woody/vanilled touch. In mouth it is fleshy, rich, without flabbiness , but on the contrary very well-structured and with plenty of presence .Very closed to the third grape ... "

- Les Caillerets  1er Cru Blanc :
"This wine was also very closed to obtain a supplementary grape for its aromatic elegance and the harmonious density of its texture, hardly getting cloudy by a still "young" woody taste . Nice work ! "

- La Romanée 1998 :
" Michel Morey-Coffinet has bottled since 1995, and this so successfully that he figures now among the bests of the region. His ROMANEE 98 is our favorite : nice wine, lively and racy, which has not only fullness but also elegance."

2 stars for :

- Chassagne Mt Village 1998 :
"A fine wine, reliable and easy to drink . Very cheering for its category".
